The Nonexistent Garden

Well, I had the bright idea to plant a garden, because seriously, I'm not busy enough right? :)

Sophie and I got everything ready to garden and then we didn't plant a single thing. Doh!

Maybe next year. We had a fun day & I got some cute pics though.

So I thought I'd hijack Christina's blog to say what a wonderful wife and mother she is. And she's been such a great companion during this difficult time. Thank you. And I love you! P.S. Isn't she hot???

The Best Day

Yesterday was such a good day that I'd be crazy not to blog about it.

It started out with Kneaders French Toast. Yum, Yum, Yum.

Then, Sophia and I went to the Farmer's Market. She liked it.

Okay, maybe she loved it.

We bought a homemade loaf of bread, 2 zucchinis, & some plastic-blue-flower earrings.

We walked up and down Center Street. We looked at all the shops and all the people.

We stopped at Maestro's Gelato and ordered Blood Orange. It was amazing.

I gave Sophie a little taste and she hated it, but she was a good sport about the whole thing.
Sophie was the biggest ham I've ever seen, smiling and batting those long lashes at everyone who came within 10 feet.

Then we came home and I showed off my blue earrings that I found at the Farmer's Market. Chase doesn't really like the earrings, but he likes me - thank goodness!

He likes me so much that he cleaned the kitchen and grilled me up some terryaki chicken & pineapple.

Life is good.

Happy Healthy Hot Club!

Ok, I started this club a while back and it was so lame (hardly any participation at all) that I cancelled it. Well, I learned from last time and am ready to start anew!

I got some feedback from some of the members and it seemed that the reasons it didn't work the first time are:

1) The girls didn't know each other. We didn't have everybody post a "getting to know you bio", so nobody felt comfortable posting.

2) There was no framework for participation. No goals. No timelines. No requirements.

Well, we're back + better than ever with a 60 DAY CHALLENGE!

Here are the new guidelines for the club:

60 Day Challenge
July 1st – August 29th

1) On or before July 1st, post a photo of yourself (one that you really like) & a short message detailing:
a. Who you are
b. Where you live
c. What you like to do
d. Current Weight
e. Goal Weight
f. Current Measurements
g. Fitness & Eating Plan

2) Post a full body photo of yourself with your Starting Weight (SW), Current Weight (CW), Goal Weight (GW), Starting Measurements (SW) and Current Measurements (CM) on these dates:
a. Monday, July 6th
b. Monday, July 13th
c. Monday, July 20th
d. Monday, July 27th
e. Monday, August 3rd
f. Monday, August 10th
g. Monday, August 17th
h. Monday, August 24th
i. Monday, August 31st
Wear the same outfit for all your photos so you can see your progress.

Do a front & profile photo.

3) Post a short blurb on how you're doing on your goals DAILY.

4) Comment on other group members posts.

This is her 2nd favorite toy. My mom & I found this at a garage sale for $3. We spent 2 hours cleaning it with clorox wipes, but it was well worth it because she enjoys it so much!
